FAQs

What is a Life Coach?

A life coach is someone who helps you unlock more of your potential through your unique awakening process with the support and encouragement of a trained and experienced professional. This process allows you to grow into more of who you seek to be and enrich your human experience. Life coaching is about guiding, inspiring and witnessing you as you create clear goals that align with your authentic self. Life coaches create a safe space to share your thoughts and feelings while holding space for the safe exploration of possibilities, options and healing patterns of behaviour that no longer serve you or keep you stuck.

What is a Lifestyle Architect?

A lifestyle architect helps you design, plan and execute what you need to create a lifestyle that aligns with your authentic self in a way that best reflects who you are and how you want to show up in the world. The lifestyle architect quite literally designs and builds the life they want. Life is a self-fulfilling prophecy. What you think about you bring about. Your thoughts become your words. Your words become your actions. Your actions become your habits, and your habits become your reality.

How many sessions do you recommend?

I recommend starting with a minimum of 8 sessions. This allows you and I to build rapport and establish your goals and desired direction while providing you with the tools, resources and skills you can use along your journey. Fewer than eight sessions are not enough to make significant sustainable strides in your change, transitions or transformation process.

What can I expect working with 1428 Transformations?

What’s the difference between life coaching and therapy?

One of the most common misconceptions about life coaching is that it is therapy in disguise or, worse yet, therapy from an unlicensed practitioner. In reality, life coaching is truly its own unique service designed to help ambitious achievers meet the outcomes that will bring them success and fulfillment in all areas of life. Here are some of the differences between a life coach vs. a therapist and a basic guide for when each service is appropriate. Therapy, also called counselling or psychotherapy, is a long-term process in which a client works with a healthcare professional to diagnose and resolve problematic beliefs, behaviours, relationship issues, feelings and sometimes physical responses. The supposition behind the therapy is to focus on past traumas and issues to change self-destructive habits, repair and improve relationships and work through painful feelings. In this sense, therapy focuses on the past and on introspection and analysis, hoping to resolve past issues and create a happier, more stable future. What is Life Coaching? You’re stuck on a decision to make, or unsure of what path to take – or perhaps there’s a challenge you don’t know how to face, and you want to make changes. That’s something any coach would likely be able to help you with. But is it better to choose a coach of the same gender or one from the opposite gender? And what might be the advantages of a man choosing a woman coach? Unlike a doctor, who, irrespective of gender, can diagnose the same illness with the same set of facts, a coach analyses the many shades of nuances and idiosyncrasies of communication and decision-making. In other words, it’s an art and a science that requires specific training and skillsets with the ability to be adaptable and dynamic. The art aspects played out could be different, depending on the gender. Science lately has confirmed at least one key difference between the genders. Men and women have different kinds of brains; women have thirty percent more verbal capacity on average. They’re more natural at articulating feelings and are often more prepared for the emotional hurdles their male clients present with. Female coaches usually have a natural knack for zoning in on men’s blind spots simply because of the biological differences between the genders and their lived experiences.

Why is working with a female life coach valuable for men?

How long will it take for me to notice a change or difference?

Most of my clients notice a difference in how they feel after one session. It is a relief to share deep emotions and thoughts that previously were held back out of fear. In a coaching space, there is no judgment, only curiosity and a sense of exploration and discovery. The ongoing nature of the sessions provides that relief on deeper levels as we continue the inner work and goal setting.

What is the biggest return on my investment?

My clients report that the biggest return on their investment in my services and programs is more authenticity, more connection, more meaning, more confidence and more success. They feel more like themselves and more confident showing up in the world. They can identify their emotions and feelings with greater ease and express and communicate them.

Can this all be done with any size team or organization?

Yes, absolutely.

Does 1428 Transformations offer custom programs and services?
